There are several blues clubs in Chicago, because the blues are so popular in the Windy City.

7313-The Club is located in St. S. Halsted in Chicago. This club has been described as an authentic blues joint. The interior features carpet red wood.

Barrington-La Grange is located in S. Barrington Rd and features jazz, reggae and of course the blues. This club offers a night of microphone open on Wednesdays. There is also a 4-star restaurant here, and exquisite banquet rooms.

Blues Island-pub is located in Vermont St. W. This bar has with live music 5 nights a week. The best in Chicago blues bands are featured.

-Celebrity Lounge on E. 83rd St., is on the south side. This is a cover gravel over the weekend, however during the week, absolutely free!

The Blues has its roots in African American work songs at the turn of the century (1900). Early Blue Some musicians include Samuel Coleridge-Taylor and WC Handy. Kingston Mines in N. Halsted Lorenzo is one of the most distinguished clubs in Chicago blue. Two steps. Two bands. Duels of the night in a dirty comfortable and offering all kinds of eats like burgers, wings, Polish sausage, catfish. Kingston Mines, because it is so popular, they have their own shop, where you can buy their products so that you can take something from the blue house.
