cable providers in los angeles

Is it legal for my apartment complex in Los Angeles only allows me to use a cable installation company?
I moved to a new location, and the only way to get the cable and the Internet is to use the same company Consolidated Smart Systems. They do Direct TV and need $ 8 more per month to "maintain service, "which sounds like a total scam to me. Is it legal for an apartment building that not only limit myself to having to use the Direct TV in lieu of any cable provider, but have to use this company will install beating and add the extra clips? For example, I can call Direct TV and ask them to installed, I have to use these men as East only install Direct TV. I suppose any company will deal with the landlord, where they get cuts or something. Is there anything I can do? I have already signed the lease, then I am troubled.
In fact, it is against the law to prohibit any tenant to choose their cable or television provider directly. Go to the FCC website for all rules. The landlord can not tell the tenant to be used, even if in the contract. Its against the law. His contract is invalid because it is against the law. Then call the cable company you want and use. If the owner says it broke the lease, and then display the FCC website (printing) and say that he has broken the law and if they are fired from your home, you may contact the Attorney General, FCC, and inspectors of the city and turn it in. You would have a heck of a lawsuit. I just go through this with one of my tenants. The only difference is my tenant is a lawyer and not very good. She did everything wrong including Satillite dish attached to my house on the outside (against the FCC and MES) and do not use the existing antenna provided for this very thing. She lost and ended up paying to have it removed and the roof repaired. Print these laws FCC.com
